Beauty Abides from a railway poster by Claude Buckle

Claude Buckle - Railway Poster of Beauty Abides, proof

A railway poster proof copy by Claude Buckle entitled "Beauty Abides nor suffers mortal change" produced in the 1930's. The Poster shows a mountain scene probably the Lake District. The poster is captioned with a quote from the American writer G E Woodberry. The message of the poster is that although people have lived in that place for centuries the beauty is unchanged, and therefore the scene was worth visiting by rail! London Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS) produced the poster. From the NRM archive.    1930s London Lithgraphic Co LMS       BACK
